Advice: Most web hosting companies will try to up-sell you on added services during the signup process (ignore any add-on). NOTE: Unlike most hosting companies both listed here allow you to create a free add-on account using any domain name without requiring to point your name servers to them first. This means that you can setup additional sites that you may already have hosted elsewhere then you would point your name servers. IX Hosting is your choice if you want included “Dedicated IP” addresses. Your website will show as if there is no other websites sharing your server. Also “Dedicated IPs” are needed to install SSL certificates. This is what is required to make your website secure in order to integrate with your merchant account if you have one or plan to obtain one in order to process credit cards online. As said before the third party payment processors (PayPal, 2checkout, etc.) do not require your website to be secured because any private information is only given on their secured websites.

You would enjoy hosting with IX as we have.  What sets them apart from the majority of web host is the fact that they include dedicated IP addresses. This is good for both SEO and securing your website purposes.

We have noticed that the data bases did run slower on their servers in the past and honestly did consider moving our main business website to a new hosting service. But within the past year they have improved the speed of their data bases and now are among the fastest available. I also notice that they are down up to 2 hours a month as we have our website monitored by a third party service. This should not be a deal breaker as that breaks down to about 99.6% up and you would probably never notice unless you monitor it as we do.
